Introduction
For over 30 years, Landmark National has developed many of America’s
finest golf course communities, including PGA West, La Quinta,
Mission Hills, Kiawah Island and Palm Beach Polo. These golf clubs
have hosted almost every significant international golf tournament,
including the Ryder Cup, the World Cup, The PGA Championship, The
U.S. Amateur and the Skins Game. Landmark has been active in the
planning, entitlement, construction and operation of over 25 major
projects in the U.S. In these projects it has designed, built and
managed golf clubs, tennis clubs, spa facilities, polo and
equestrian facilities and marinas. These amenities serve as the
foundation for the great residential and resort communities the
company has developed, which include housing, apartments, hotels and
commercial developments. Landmark is unique in that it directs all
of the phases of planning, development and operations of the real
estate and amenities in its communities. In this way it can ensure
consistent quality throughout its developments.
Recently, Landmark has recognized the tremendous opportunity to
develop high quality golf course communities on an international
basis. Landmark’s first international project, Doonbeg Golf Club in
Southwest Ireland, was recently awarded the Best New International
Golf Course by Golf Digest. Landmark is now focused on what it
believes is the best development market in Europe, the Iberian
Peninsula. With assistance from strong local partners, Landmark is
dedicated to creating the highest quality golf community development
company in Europe. Working closely with landowners and investors,
Landmark’s mission is to use its experience and expertise to develop
new and exciting golf communities throughout Spain and Portugal.
